Dr. Prateek Rastogi is a fellowship-trained paediatric orthopaedic and deformity correction surgeon practising in Delhi NCR. He has done his MBBS from the prestigious King George Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow and his masters (M.S. Orthopaedics) from Kanpur University
Dr. Prateek then joined the renowned Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and worked there as a Senior Resident in the Department of Orthopaedics. Here he was exposed to a large number of helpless children with deformities coming from rural backgrounds of eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. As a result, he developed a keen interest in paediatric orthopaedics & deformities and decided to undergo super-speciality training in the field.
After completing his senior residency, he joined the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of India-accredited fellowship in paediatric orthopaedics in Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya, New Delhi. He was a visiting fellow at the department of Paediatric Orthopaedics, KGMU, Lucknow and has gained vast experience in the field from various national and international centres in the last 14 years.
Apart from excellent clinical and surgical skills, Dr. Prateek is a thorough academician as well. He has written chapters in paediatric orthopaedic books and published more than 20 research publications in indexed national and international journals. He has taken a number of lectures / talks and presented many papers in various national and international conferences. He is a regular speaker at various CMEs and is training many post-graduate students under him. He was awarded the best paper in 2020 by Delhi Orthopaedic Association for his work on long term residual effects of hip infections in children and guidelines to manage them.
